The ESCO-Insulated is the rebirth of ACUiTY's original ESCO shift knob design and lends its beauty to a careful combination of handcrafted lettering, finishing techniques, and modern multi-axis CNC machining. The ESCO design is quickly becoming the preferred driver's knob due to its carefully-crafted profile.

With a 40mm (1.57 in) diameter, barrel-shaped upper portion, gently domed top, tapered bottom, and 70mm (2.7 in) total height, the ESCO-Insulated fits beautifully in most drivers' hands.

By forcing a more consistent hand position through its unique shape, the ESCO helps to train muscle memory, making shifts more consistent. Because of its stainless steel core, the ESCO-Insulated is heavier than all-plastic insulated designs and has a finished weight of 185 grams (6.5 oz), perfect for a great shift feel without masking feedback from the gearbox. The stainless steel core also means this shift knob has very durable threads when compared to all-plastic shift knobs.

As an added touch, the 6-Speed Honda/Acura gear pattern is engraved into the plastic shell and backfilled, making the lettering deep and durable. The finished appearance of the black insulated shell and white lettering is simple, classic, and breathtaking. For the best shifting experience, pair your ESCO-Insulated knob with ACUiTY's other shifting upgrades for your car.

Each knob also includes a custom-made stainless steel flange nut that can be used to retain the shift knob. If you are using the OEM shift boot collar or one of ACUiTY's 1924 shift boot collars, you will not need to use this flange nut during installation. Also included is a suede storage bag to protect your shift knob when it's not installed.

Important Note About Shift Boot Fitment: On many Hondas and Acuras, made after 2010, the shift boot clips to the underside of the shift knob. Older vehicles had a shift boot that just sat near the underside of the knob, but did not mate to it. If your shift boot clips to the underside of your shift knob, you should check to see if it clips to a nut or to the knob itself. If the boot clips to a nut, your boot and nut should work with your new Esco knob as well. If the boot clips to the actual OEM shift knob, however, you will need additional parts to prevent the boot from sagging after installation.

ACUiTY currently offer 5 shift boot collars that can correct this issue. The part #'s are:

  • 1924-K1 (satin black anodized finish)
  • 1924-K2 (turned stainless steel finish)
  • 1924-K4 (satin red anodized finish)
  • 1924-K5 (burnt titanium finish)
  • 1924-K6 (satin purple anodized finish)

Similarly, if you have an older vehicle that doesn't have a shift boot that clips to the knob, you can also use the same shift boot collars (ACUiTY Part numbers 1924-K1, 1924-K2, 1924-K3, 1924-K4, and 1924-K5) to clip the boot to the knob for a more modern, clean, finished appearance.

How fast is shipping?

Most orders placed on a weekday before 1pm EST will ship out the same day. Otherwise, it is common for parts to ship in 2-3 days from order date. Please note that both of these exclude special order items, which are clearly marked on product pages.

What is the returns policy?

Most products sold by Axion Industries LLC are covered by our Standard Return Policy and may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund. Please note that a restocking fee will apply (see "Refunds Policy" in FAQ).

All returns require written approval from Axion Industries LLC. Original Shipping and return shipping charges are strictly non-refundable. For more information regarding our shipping refund policy, please refer to the "Refunds Policy" on FAQ.

Does it come with a warranty?

Axion Industries LLC does not offer any type of warranty coverage for defective products except those that are manufactured by us. However, the majority of the products available through our website are covered separately under a manufacturer's warranty.

Our customer service representatives can provide limited support, advice, and assistance identifying the possibility of any manufacturer defects. If we suspect your product does have serious defects, our customer service department can serve as a contact with the manufacturer to help arrange a warranty inspection and, if applicable, any necessary repairs or replacement shipments.

If you wish, you may also contact the manufacturer directly for information regarding product eligibility and specific terms and conditions of warranty coverage.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Unfulfilled, cancelled orders will require a 10%-30% cancellation fee unless you choose store credit (a 5%-15% cancellation fee will apply in this case). This fee is to:

  1. Recover the processing fees for both the order you placed and the order
    you canceled.
  2. Cancellation fees imposed by the manufacturer, should the part be coming
    straight from them. OR
  3. Restocking fees, since the part now has to be resold.

The following may NOT be canceled:

  • Orders that are already fulfilled – the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Pre-orders - the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Special Order items that were approved for sourcing by the customer.
  • Items that are on sale and labeled "final sale" during that sale period.
