One of the biggest keys to making consistent power in a 2015+ STi is managing the intake manifold temperature. This is an issue when the STi is bone stock and becomes an even bigger issue when you start to modify it. The stock top mount intercooler simply isn¡¯t up to the task. After just a few minutes of hard driving, the small, overworked TMIC quickly becomes heat soaked. Intake manifold temperatures rise quickly and power output drops off even more quickly. The power drop is due to the hotter, less dense air coming out of the intercooler. You could replace the stock TMIC with an well-designed aftermarket TMIC. While they are certainly much better than the stock TMIC, they can only delay the inevitable intake manifold temperature increase that comes from having a small intercooler core sitting inside a hot engine bay.

Enter the TurboXS Front Mount Intercooler for the 2015+ STi. The bar and plate core is 28 inches wide, 8 inches tall, and 3.75 inches thick and absolutely dwarfs the factory TMIC. With our FMIC installed on a 2015+ STi, intake manifold temperatures stay constant even after repeated pulls to redline. With the TurboXS Front Mount Intercooler, inconsistent power output due to sky-high intake manifold temperatures is a thing of the past!

In addition to performing the design function of cooling the intake charge flawlessly, our FMIC include some cool features such as a powdercoated tubular steel mounting beam with integrated threaded tow hook mount. This unique feature allows you to use any License Plate Relocation kit that uses the tow hook mount such as our TOWTAG-W15 (sold separately). This keeps you legal while also keeping your front license plate from blocking airflow to your FMIC. No other FMIC on the market that we know of has this unique, one-of-a-kind feature! Please note that this mount is NOT designed to tow the car. It should be used for license plate relocation only.

How fast is shipping?

Most orders placed on a weekday before 1pm EST will ship out the same day. Otherwise, it is common for parts to ship in 2-3 days from order date. Please note that both of these exclude special order items, which are clearly marked on product pages.

What is the returns policy?

Most products sold by Axion Industries LLC are covered by our Standard Return Policy and may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund. Please note that a restocking fee will apply (see "Refunds Policy" in FAQ).

All returns require written approval from Axion Industries LLC. Original Shipping and return shipping charges are strictly non-refundable. For more information regarding our shipping refund policy, please refer to the "Refunds Policy" on FAQ.

Does it come with a warranty?

Axion Industries LLC does not offer any type of warranty coverage for defective products except those that are manufactured by us. However, the majority of the products available through our website are covered separately under a manufacturer's warranty.

Our customer service representatives can provide limited support, advice, and assistance identifying the possibility of any manufacturer defects. If we suspect your product does have serious defects, our customer service department can serve as a contact with the manufacturer to help arrange a warranty inspection and, if applicable, any necessary repairs or replacement shipments.

If you wish, you may also contact the manufacturer directly for information regarding product eligibility and specific terms and conditions of warranty coverage.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Unfulfilled, cancelled orders will require a 10%-30% cancellation fee unless you choose store credit (a 5%-15% cancellation fee will apply in this case). This fee is to:

  1. Recover the processing fees for both the order you placed and the order
    you canceled.
  2. Cancellation fees imposed by the manufacturer, should the part be coming
    straight from them. OR
  3. Restocking fees, since the part now has to be resold.

The following may NOT be canceled:

  • Orders that are already fulfilled – the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Pre-orders - the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Special Order items that were approved for sourcing by the customer.
  • Items that are on sale and labeled "final sale" during that sale period.
