The Radium Engineering catch cans are the most functional and integrated kits on the market. The catch cans mount using factory holes and integrate perfectly with the surrounding components. These two oil catch cans (PCV side and CCV side) function completely independent of each other and are sold individually or together. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), thus are emissions and track legal.

Closed loop systems remove the oil and sludge from the PCV gasses before it they are routed to the engine to be burned. A closed loop system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin.

This catch can runs inline with the crankcase vent port. At low loads, it experiences atmospheric pressure, but when the engine is at high load (WOT), this line will experience high flow out of the crankcase. This would normally lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the air filter intake pipe. Oil accumulation will occur in the intercooler, which lowers the thermal efficiency properties of the heat exchanger and leads to decreased performance. The crankcase vent lines are routed over the engine and billet, clamped to the turbo inlet pipe, using temperature-resistant metal tubes.   

The dipsticks built into the catch cans allow easy inspection of accumulated fluid.

No cutting, drilling or permanent modification to the vehicle is required.  

INSTALLATION NOTES: The 20-0425 Catch Can Kit, CCV, Civic Type-R secures to the RH motor mount and the entire kit fits under the OEM engine cover with no modifications required.  

Each kit features the following:

  • Anodized oil catch can with integrated condenser and dipstick
  • Anodized aluminum Honda FK8 specific mounting bracket
  • AN adapter fittings and hose ends
  • Enough PCV hose for custom applications 
  • Stainless steel mounting hardware

OPTIONAL:

  • Petcock Drain Kit (4AN ORB) to barb fitting 
  • Nylon 1/4" barb ball valve 
  • PCV Compliant Rubber Hose  

This kit can be used to remotely drain the catch cans without the need to unscrew the canister body.

How fast is shipping?

Most orders placed on a weekday before 1pm EST will ship out the same day. Otherwise, it is common for parts to ship in 2-3 days from order date. Please note that both of these exclude special order items, which are clearly marked on product pages.

What is the returns policy?

Most products sold by Axion Industries LLC are covered by our Standard Return Policy and may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund. Please note that a restocking fee will apply (see "Refunds Policy" in FAQ).

All returns require written approval from Axion Industries LLC. Original Shipping and return shipping charges are strictly non-refundable. For more information regarding our shipping refund policy, please refer to the "Refunds Policy" on FAQ.

Does it come with a warranty?

Axion Industries LLC does not offer any type of warranty coverage for defective products except those that are manufactured by us. However, the majority of the products available through our website are covered separately under a manufacturer's warranty.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Unfulfilled, cancelled orders will require a 10%-30% cancellation fee unless you choose store credit (a 5%-15% cancellation fee will apply in this case). This fee is to:

  1. Recover the processing fees for both the order you placed and the order
    you canceled.
  2. Cancellation fees imposed by the manufacturer, should the part be coming
    straight from them. OR
  3. Restocking fees, since the part now has to be resold.

The following may NOT be canceled:

  • Orders that are already fulfilled – the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Pre-orders - the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Special Order items that were approved for sourcing by the customer.
  • Items that are on sale and labeled "final sale" during that sale period.
