Venting crankcase pressure often leads to oil vapors collecting in the intake, diluting gas and reducing octane. This issue intensifies in turbocharged and supercharged engines. To address this, J&L has introduced a durable oil separator, crafted from billet aluminum, with an easy-drain design and a leak-proof O-ring seal.

J&L 3.0 Oil Separator (Passenger Side)

An oil separator is a simple and easy way to protect your truck.  In just minutes and for under $160 you can prevent the damage caused by oil blow-by, including loss of power, lower gas mileage, and build up that leads to expensive repairs.

How does it work?

Oil Containment: Extensive use can lead to substantial oil venting from the crankcase. The PCV system of your engine redirects this excess oil into the intake for combustion. Yet, this can adulterate fuel and decrease octane levels. The J&L V3.0 clear Oil Separator intercepts the oil vapors from the crankcase vent and contains them for periodic, safe disposal. This separator ensures pristine fuel quality, optimizing your F-150's performance.

V3.0 Upgrades: J&L has enhanced the design of their previous Oil Separator, launching the revamped Version 3.0. Notably, this version boasts an enlarged 3 oz. capacity—almost double its predecessor. Additionally, while the older models employed a Ford Motorcraft pre-filter, the V3.0 utilizes a 1/2" thick 1/16th" aluminum honeycomb filter paired with a mesh stainless steel screen. This combination captures finer oil vapors, shielding your engine from potential residue.

Exceptional Craftsmanship: Manufactured proudly in the USA, the J&L Oil Separator represents superior workmanship. CNC-machined from a singular billet aluminum block, it offers unmatched sturdiness. A rubber o-ring ensures a snug, leak-proof seal, and its knurled base makes for effortless removal during regular oil maintenance. Finished in a resilient clear anodized coating, it promises both aesthetic appeal and enduring corrosion resistance.

Simplified Installation: J&L's Separator promises a hassle-free setup, achievable in less than 30 minutes with standard tools. Pre-attached stock-style quick-disconnect fittings on the provided PCV silicone hoses make the Catch Can a seamless upgrade. All necessary brackets and hardware are in the package, eliminating the need for any alterations.

Certification Note: Currently, this J&L Oil Separator isn't CARB certified. Hence, it isn't approved in California or states that adopt California's emission guidelines. It's designed for off-road applications and isn't fit for pollution-controlled vehicles.

How fast is shipping?

Most orders placed on a weekday before 1pm EST will ship out the same day. Otherwise, it is common for parts to ship in 2-3 days from order date. Please note that both of these exclude special order items, which are clearly marked on product pages.

What is the returns policy?

Most products sold by Axion Industries LLC are covered by our Standard Return Policy and may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund. Please note that a restocking fee will apply (see "Refunds Policy" in FAQ).

All returns require written approval from Axion Industries LLC. Original Shipping and return shipping charges are strictly non-refundable. For more information regarding our shipping refund policy, please refer to the "Refunds Policy" on FAQ.

Does it come with a warranty?

Axion Industries LLC does not offer any type of warranty coverage for defective products except those that are manufactured by us. However, the majority of the products available through our website are covered separately under a manufacturer's warranty.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Unfulfilled, cancelled orders will require a 10%-30% cancellation fee unless you choose store credit (a 5%-15% cancellation fee will apply in this case). This fee is to:

  1. Recover the processing fees for both the order you placed and the order
    you canceled.
  2. Cancellation fees imposed by the manufacturer, should the part be coming
    straight from them. OR
  3. Restocking fees, since the part now has to be resold.

The following may NOT be canceled:

  • Orders that are already fulfilled – the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Pre-orders - the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Special Order items that were approved for sourcing by the customer.
  • Items that are on sale and labeled "final sale" during that sale period.
