Designed with style and performance in mind, HPS Performance Air Intake Kit with Heat Shield (part number 827-728) replaces Acura MDX Type S restrictive stock intake tubing and air filter housing with a 3.5" mandrel-bent aluminum tube designed for your vehicle and includes a reusable high-flow cotton air filter for maximum power gains. With the turbocharger sitting high up in the engine bay, heat was a concern when developing this intake kit. The specially designed heat shield is sealed to the hood of the vehicle to prevent radiant heat from entering the engine while allowing the sound of the turbocharged V6 engine to be heard under heavy throttle. HPS Performance cold air intake kit features durable HPS silicone couplers and stainless steel T-bolt clamps that are engineered to perform under toughest driving conditions. Experience faster 0-60 times with dyno proven gains up to 19 horsepower and 27 lb-ft. of torque.

How fast is shipping?

Most orders placed on a weekday before 1pm EST will ship out the same day. Otherwise, it is common for parts to ship in 2-3 days from order date. Please note that both of these exclude special order items, which are clearly marked on product pages.

What is the returns policy?

Most products sold by Axion Industries LLC are covered by our Standard Return Policy and may be returned within 30 days of the original invoice date for a refund. Please note that a restocking fee will apply (see "Refunds Policy" in FAQ).

Does it come with a warranty?

Axion Industries LLC does not offer any type of warranty coverage for defective products except those that are manufactured by us. However, the majority of the products available through our website are covered separately under a manufacturer's warranty.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Unfulfilled, cancelled orders will require a 10%-30% cancellation fee unless you choose store credit (a 5%-15% cancellation fee will apply in this case). This fee is to:

  1. Recover the processing fees for both the order you placed and the order
    you canceled.
  2. Cancellation fees imposed by the manufacturer, should the part be coming
    straight from them. OR
  3. Restocking fees, since the part now has to be resold.

The following may NOT be canceled:

  • Orders that are already fulfilled – the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Pre-orders - the Returns Policy will apply.
  • Special Order items that were approved for sourcing by the customer.
  • Items that are on sale and labeled "final sale" during that sale period.
